Medicare is confusing on purpose. Let's fix that in one conversation.

You are getting mail from companies you have never heard of, calls you did not ask for, and a deadline nobody explained. We are a local independent agency. We start by explaining how the parts fit together and what your enrollment window actually is — before anyone talks about a specific plan.

No cost · no obligation · about 20 minutes · a licensed Texas agent handles every conversation

Talk to a licensed agent

Two ways to start — whichever you prefer.

Have questions first?

Call us and ask anything. No plan pitch, no pressure, and we will not ask you to decide anything on the first call.

Ready to look at plans or enroll?

Our licensed agent's secure enrollment site lets you review the Medicare coverage options available where you live, and apply online or by phone with a licensed agent.

See plans and enroll

Plan availability, benefits and enrollment are handled on our licensed agent's enrollment site. We do not offer every plan available in your area. You can also contact Medicare.gov, 1‑800‑MEDICARE, or your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for information on all of your options.

What we will not do

Most of what makes Medicare stressful is how it gets sold. We run the opposite way.

  • ×We do not cold call you. If we are talking, it is because you asked us to.
  • ×We do not quote a plan or tell you which one to pick before we understand your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget.
  • ×We do not discuss a specific plan without your written permission first — that is a federal rule, and we follow it.
  • ×We do not use the words "free gift" or "best plan." Neither one is a real thing.

What we do instead

A conversation, in plain English, in the order that actually helps.

  • Explain Parts A, B, C and D and how they interact — once, properly.
  • Tell you which enrollment window you are in and what the real deadline is.
  • Write down your doctors and prescriptions so nothing gets missed later.
  • Hand you to a licensed agent when — and only when — you want to look at actual coverage.

Three reasons people call us

You do not need to know which one you are. That is what the first conversation is for.

1

Turning 65

You have a window around your birthday, and missing it can cost you a penalty for the rest of your life. We map the dates for your situation and tell you what has to happen first.

2

Still working past 65

Employer coverage changes the math, and the advice you get from a national call center usually ignores it. This is the part we know best — group benefits is our day job.

3

Already enrolled, but unsure

Plans change every year. Your doctor may have left the network, or your prescription may have moved tiers. An annual review catches it before it costs you.

How a clarity review works

Four steps. Nothing is hidden, and you can stop at any point.

1

You reach out

Call, text, or ask for a call back. We confirm we have your permission to contact you and note how you found us.

2

We gather the facts

Your ZIP, your county, your doctors, your prescriptions, and what is bothering you about your current coverage. No plan discussion yet.

3

We get your permission in writing

Before any conversation about a specific plan, you sign a Scope of Appointment. It records what you agreed to discuss, and it protects you. Sales and marketing calls are recorded and retained as required.

4

A licensed agent reviews options with you

A licensed agent walks through the Medicare coverage available where you live and answers your questions. If you decide to apply, you can do it online or by phone.

Nobody should have to make a ten-year decision in a twenty-minute sales call. We would rather spend the first conversation making sure you understand the rules than trying to close you.

Straight answers

Are you Medicare, or the government?

No. BenefitExcel is a private, independent insurance agency. We are not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program.

What does this cost me?

Nothing. When someone enrolls in coverage through a licensed agent, the insurance company pays the agent. Your premium is the same whether you use an agent or not.

Do you offer every plan?

No, and no agency does. We do not offer every plan available in your area. For information on all of your options, contact Medicare.gov, call 1‑800‑MEDICARE, or reach your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).

What is a Scope of Appointment?

It is a short federal form where you write down which types of coverage you are willing to discuss. It has to be completed before a plan-specific conversation. It exists so an agent cannot steer you into a product you never asked about.

Will the call be recorded?

Yes. Federal rules require Medicare sales and marketing calls to be recorded and kept, so we record them and tell you up front. We do not sell or share your information with other agencies without your explicit permission.

Can you help if I am still working?

Yes, and it is one of the more common reasons people call us. BenefitExcel and its sister company Admin316 work in employer benefits and retirement plan administration every day, so the interaction between a group plan and Medicare is familiar ground.

No cost, no obligation

Start with the explanation, not the pitch.

Call and ask us anything, or go straight to our licensed agent's enrollment site if you already know what you want to do.
