Life insurance is a math problem, not a sales problem.

How much your family would actually need, for how long, and what you can comfortably pay. Answer those three and the product almost picks itself. We are independent, we are local, and we will tell you when you already have enough.

No cost to talk · no obligation · a licensed Texas agent, not a call center

Where to start

Two paths, depending on how ready you are.

Not sure how much you need

Call us. We will walk through income replacement, the mortgage, and what your employer coverage already does — before anyone mentions a product.

The three questions

Skip these and you end up with a policy that is either useless or unaffordable.

  • How much? Usually the mortgage, plus the years of income your family would lose, minus what is already covered at work.
  • For how long? Until the house is paid off and the kids are through school is a real answer. Forever is rarely the right one.
  • What can you actually pay? A policy you cancel in year three protects nobody.

What we will tell you honestly

Being independent means we have no quota on any one product.

  • ×If your employer coverage is already enough, we will say so.
  • ×If term is the better fit than permanent for your situation, we will say that too — even though it pays us less.
  • ×We do not use scare tactics, and we do not pretend life insurance is an investment.

The main types, in plain English

General descriptions only. What is available to you depends on your age, health and the carrier's underwriting.

1

Term life

Covers you for a set number of years — commonly 10, 20 or 30 — for the lowest cost per dollar of coverage. Best fit when you have a mortgage, young children, or a working spouse who depends on your income.

2

Whole and permanent life

Lasts for life and builds cash value, at a materially higher premium. Makes sense for estate planning, a lifelong dependent, or a business obligation — not usually as a substitute for saving.

3

Final expense

A smaller policy intended to cover a funeral and the bills that follow, with simplified health questions. Often the practical option later in life when a larger policy is no longer affordable.

How it goes

1

A conversation

Fifteen minutes on your household, your debts, and what your employer already provides. No application, no medical questions.

2

A number, with the reasoning

We show you how we arrived at the coverage amount and the term length, so you can argue with it.

3

Options from established carriers

Our licensed agent presents what you actually qualify for. Underwriting decides the final rate — nobody can promise a price before that.

4

Apply if it makes sense

Online or by phone with a licensed agent. If it does not make sense yet, that is a fine outcome and we will tell you so.

The right amount of life insurance is the amount that lets the people you love keep the life you built for them. Everything else is a product conversation.

Straight answers

Is the coverage at my job enough?

Sometimes, often not. Employer life insurance is usually one or two times salary and it typically ends when the job does. We will look at what you have before suggesting anything new.

Do I need a medical exam?

It depends on the amount, your age and the carrier. Some policies use health questions and prescription history instead of an exam. Our agent will tell you which path applies before you apply.

Can you quote me a price right now?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. Final rates come from underwriting once your health information is reviewed. Anything before that is an estimate.

What does this cost me to talk about?

Nothing. If you buy a policy, the insurance company compensates the agent. Your premium is set by the carrier either way.

Do you handle group life through my employer?

Yes. Group and employer-sponsored coverage is our day job — see our employee benefits page — and we check whether an individual policy should sit underneath it.

No cost, no obligation

Get the number first. Then decide.

Call and we will work out what your family would actually need. If you already know, go straight to our licensed agent.
